HUNDREDS TURN OUT FOR OPEN HOUSE

Miss Louisiana, Lauren Vizza was a big hit at our February Open House. She signed autographs and posed for pictures with the guest as they admired her grace and beauty. We celebtated all things February. The Museum was packed with visitors enjoying the celebration of Coach Rob's Birthday, the Dedication of the Museum, plus our new exhibits. Members of the Grambling State University Show Band pumped ole and new school sounds throughout the building. The GSU Cheerleaders, as well as various GSU Greek organizations were here to help out. Every now and then, a cheer could be heard from the Cheerleaders. Miss GSU, Miss GSU Lab High School, Mr. GSU Middle School, and Miss Juneteenth all showed up to enjoy the celebration. There were numerous former GSU athletes, former NFL players, and Legends who shared their stories of Coach Rob with the guest. There were two winners in the pass throwing contest on the practice field (exhibit). Both connected with their receiver as the crowd roared, and walked away with museum T-shirts. Mrs. Doris Robinson, the first lady of football, and Eddie Robinson, Jr. were both here and had a great time posing for pictures with the guest. It was a fun filled afternoon! And it was clear to see why we love February.
