Birthday Celebration for Coach Rob
Over 200 people showed up to help celebrate the 93rd Birthday of Coach Rob in the Doris Robinson Banquet Hall of the EGRM. Guest enjoyed a giant football cake, cut by Eddie Robinson,Jr.,while listening to stories as told by former players such as Super Bowl MVP Doug Williams. New York Knick alum Willis Reed led the group in the singing of a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday. Remarks were made by the Louisiana Sec.of State, Tom Schedler and Grambling Mayor, Edward Jones. Coach Rob's great-grandson was in attendance as well. Fun was had by all! The Eddie G. Robinson Museum was dedicated on February 13, 2010.
