The Eddie G. Robinson Museum Commision and The Friends of the Eddie G. Robinson Museum Organization extends a very special thank you for your willingness to support the Eddie G. Robinson Museum. This site is intended to share with our supporters the progress we have made toward making the Eddie G. Robinson Museum a reality. In 2005 and 2006, we have made enormous strides in honoring the Legendary Eddie G. Robinson.
In 2005 we opened a temporary museum site at the Grambling State University Athletic Support Facility with a succession of friends and admirers present. In May of this year, GSU President, Horace Judson, and the site committee gave approval to use the Women's Memorial Gym for the Museum's permanent location.
In coming months, we will embark on the design of the 8,000-square-foot museum with Murphy & Orr Exhibit Designers, and a major fund-raising campaign led by Dave Whinham of Team Sales Company.
