Rob Museum Evolves
No timetable for the opening has been set, but work on the Eddie Robinson Museum on the Grambling State University campus is moving along at a solid pace. Zac Construction of Shreveport, which is building the museum, has put a new roof on the structure, which will be housed in the old Women’s Memorial Gymnasium, and has completed framework to the outside of the building. They ended up with an additional $2 million in dedicated state funding for the long-delayed project. Eddie Robinson, who sent more than 200 players to the NFL and won 408 games during a 56-year career, has died. He was 88. Super Bowl MVP quarterback Doug Williams, one of Robinson's former players, said the former Grambling State University coach died shortly before midnight on Tuesday. (continue)
